ESR10: Linar Akhmetzyanov

 

Linar Akhmetzyanov has finished high school in 2006 and was awarded a Gold medal for the special success in studies. Linar optained his bachelor degree in Kazan (Volga region) Federal University in the faculty of Ecology and Nature Management in 2011. The topic of his Bachelor Thesis was Human Impact Assessment on Geosystems (in the region of “Tatneft,  Open Joint-Stock Company activity). Afterwards he continued his career by doing a Master in “Sustainable Resource Management” at the Technical University of Munich, Germany. The topic of his Master thesis was Climate Sensitivity of Fagus sylvatica L. based on Tree Ring Analyses in Marginal populations in Spain. In June 2014 Linar received his degree of Master of Science. In August of 2014 he will join the dendro-team at Wageningen University to start his Ph.D. research on High-precision dendroprovenancing of oak and pine wood from Atlantic Iberian the context of the ForSEAdiscovery project.
