ESR5: Beñat Eguiluz Miranda

Historian and Archaeologist, Beñat Eguiluz Miranda studied his history degree in the UPV/EHU or University of the Basque Country. After his graduation, he followed his studies deeping into the Modern Age, and his main research line for his Master's dissertation was related to de maritime history, archaeology and Basque seafarer's on their voyages to Newfoundland and the Atlantic. He finished his postgraduate studies in the University of the Basque Country, accomplishing the Master's requirements named as "Europe and the Atlantic world". He is an active member in the new underwater and maritime archaeological society SIAS or "Sociedad de investigadores de la Arqueología Subacuática". Active member also from "Albaola" "Itsas Kultur Ondarea" and representant of this society in the Newport Ship project in Wales. He supports and actively promotes projects for the preservation and active spreading of the maritime heritage.
